i gave four empty slots needing such ram modules.

from blade 100 these can be 370-4149, 370-4150, or 370-4151

from blade 150 these can be 370-5675, 370-5676, or 370-5677

(the same ram with different part numbers!)

reasonable prices desired.

Have you looked at Crucial? That will at least give you non-Sun prices
for compatible (from what I've heard and experienced), new RAM from a
reputable manufacturer (Micron)/vendor; anything used (give or take the
issue of whether Sun will "support" it, i.e. whether or not you have to
remove non-Sun RAM before reporting a hardware problem for service, and
even more so, whether Sun would replace it if needed under a service plan)
should clearly be less than those prices, which are in turn probably much
lower than Sun's prices (which include the cost of some amount of extra
qualification testing as well as a generous markup).

(both as of now; no telling if/when they restructure their web site)

You don't have a lot of lattitude in some of the specs; it has to be ECC
memory (or at least look like ECC memory, and the fake stuff is a waste
since it doesn't provide the protection); buffered/registered memory
does not work (at least not without all being the same and with some
jumper setting changes; that's experimental territory and/or probably
not supported), etc.

Don't even bother asking me follow-up questions; that's all I know about
it...

the sun blade 100 is for home use. sun support is irrelevant.

however, i found the best solution to be ebay. i can get 513mb sticks
there by buying complete sun blades with ram, and pilling the ram.
i have acquired two blade 100s tgus way furnishing 6 sticks at a cost
per stick of $50, including shipping of the entire computer. crucial's
price for these is ove $100/stick plus shipping. ram is pretty
durable, so bew is not important. for over a decade i have used used
rams in sun machines with no failures.
