:Have you looked at Crucial? That will at least give you non-Sun prices
:for compatible (from what I've heard and experienced), new RAM from a
:reputable manufacturer (Micron)/vendor; anything used (give or take the
:issue of whether Sun will "support" it, i.e. whether or not you have to
:remove non-Sun RAM before reporting a hardware problem for service, and
:even more so, whether Sun would replace it if needed under a service plan)
:should clearly be less than those prices, which are in turn probably much
:lower than Sun's prices (which include the cost of some amount of extra
:qualification testing as well as a generous markup).

the sun blade 100 is for home use. sun support is irrelevant.
however, i found the best solution to be ebay. i can get 513mb sticks
there by buying complete sun blades with ram, and pilling the ram.
i have acquired two blade 100s tgus way furnishing 6 sticks at a cost
per stick of $50, including shipping of the entire computer. crucial's
price for these is ove $100/stick plus shipping. ram is pretty
durable, so bew is not important. for over a decade i have used used
rams in sun machines with no failures.
